- Maintenance requests, payment-related questions, and other tenancy-related correspondence
- Information about your unit and lease, as relevant to property management

- To respond to your inquiries and maintenance requests
- To communicate with you about your tenancy (rent, scheduling, lease questions, vendor coordination, etc.)
- To maintain records of communications as required by law and standard property management practice
Who has access
- BHBC staff — the property owner and authorized operations personnel
- Third-party service providers we use to operate our communication and record-keeping systems (e.g., SMS carriers, cloud hosting providers, software services that help us route and respond to messages)
- Service vendors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) only when relevant to fulfilling a maintenance request you've submitted, and only the information necessary to address the request
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with marketers or unrelated third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.
How long we retain it
Communication records are retained for the duration of your tenancy plus a reasonable period thereafter (typically up to 7 years), consistent with property management record-keeping practices and applicable law.
Security
Your information is stored on our systems and our service providers' systems using industry-standard security practices. We do not disclose your information to third parties except as necessary to operate our property management services or as required by law.
Your rights
- You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. Replying HELP will return our contact information.
- You may request a copy of the information we hold about you by contacting us at the email or phone number below.
- You may request correction or deletion of your records, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain certain records.
